Put an order in through Skip the Dishes and it was cancelled (no reason given), however, my credit card was charged. Contacted Customer Service via chat and they informed me that I would be issued a refund. 2 months later, no refund, I contacted them, they said I was refunded, to talk to my bank. I had the bank on the phone (at same time as Skip the Dishes) saying no refund was issued. Skip the Dishes insisted the refund had been issued. The bank ended up investigating and issuing me a refund. I will never order from Skip the Dishes again, neither will the guy at the bank nor my family or my friends. This is just not ok.

Even though on my account there are explicit details of exactly where to drop off my order. The delivery person got INTO the building somehow . Didn't bother to come to my door but left my food in a corner in the lobby. Meanwhile I am on the very unhelpful "chat" with someone who is trying to locate my order. After speaking with not 1 but 2 different people on the chat (the first one didn't solve my problem and then just left) The second person said it was delivered. Thats when I searched the building to find my Pizza in the corner of the lobby on the floor. It was cold and I complained and they said they would issue a refund. This was 2 months ago and I am still back and forth with the "chat box". They keep saying 2 things 1. They already refunded me 2. That they didn't refund me and that I should be receiving it in a couple of days. I checked with my credit card as well as my bank an no refund although they show me that they did. I am beyond frustrated with this company. But I will not stop until they get this right! I highly DO NO reccomend this company.very frustrated

They do NOT tell you they've delivered the food unless you make a special request.

Learned the hard way that this is a bad system. I blamed the courier initially but it wasn't even his fault. Here's what happened:
I ordered food, waited 2 hours.
Called the food place, they say order was not picked up.
Contacted Skip the Dishes, insist order was delivered.
Never got a knock or a ring of the doorbell. Apparently they just left it on the front porch.
Was given the impression this was the fault of the courier and requested to refund his tip. AFTER they do that, they explain that it's policy to just drop food at the front door unless you make a special request to ring or knock.
Cool, man. Weird policy, saw no notes, but I guess that's on me. Cancel the refund.
Nope. Too late.
Long story short, the company has a really stupid policy where you have to specifically request a knock or a doorbell ring. Otherwise the courier is instructed to leave the food outside, at the doorstep, and leave without ever alerting you that they've made their delivery. I can't imagine how much frustration this causes and it really ticks me off because I bet its the couriers who are getting the short end of the stick here.

Manipulative. Use Door Dash or Uber instead

Use Door Dash or Uber instead. Skip customer service is evasive and manipulative. You won’t get any response if your order goes wrong. Door Dash and Uber are both responsive and helpful. Save yourself the trouble and time! Trust me. You’re worth it.

Trash business

Trash business. Nothing but issues. Only reason I still use it occasionally is for the interac online feature. But that's not working today. There's an issue with EVERY order I place. It's always something and they just don't f u c k i n g care when you reach out to someone. Like most businesses nowadays, they keep making money so what's a few unhappy customers. Who gives a s h I t right? So frustrating to deal with.

Worst dishonest service ever

Skip the dishes does not offer any deals that restaurants offer. If the teen burger is on sale they still charge full price. I approached them about this and the blamed the restaurant. I called the restaurant and the sale price is for everyone. So you get scammed and then lied to by skip the dishes. Poorest business practices ever. Don't use this dishonest service

Terrible Service

Vikrat will steal your food, and customer service reps Molina and Livia will not do anything to help you. We got ripped off 50 dollars today and are never using this service again.

Ordered from Chick Boss Cake on April…

Ordered from Chick Boss Cake on April 6th, 2021.. and skip the dishes cancelled the order themselves and took my $78 and put it in Skip Credits.. their very own currency. Since when is this legal? Anyways.. Here it is April 14th, 2021 and after contacting service again they told me the money had already been put back onto my credit card... still not there and it's been well over 5 business days. This is completely BS experience and I will be holding Skip The Dishes accountable for FRAUD. This company should have 0 stars. Needless to say, im in talks with my lawyers (2 of them) and I can't wait until this goes public. This company should be ashamed of themselves with how it operates.. pathetic.

Horrible Customer Service

I placed a $130 order last week and it said it would arrive in 20 mins. 1.5 hours later, a driver shows up with a small pizza and a pop from a completely different restaurant. We tried waving him down to let him know this was the wrong order but he gunned it out of my driveway.

I was actually on chat with Skip minutes before he arrived because it was so late and they said they were short on drivers that night but that he was almost at my house. I was watching the car on the map in their app and he was all over the place. Looks like he was picking up multiple orders.

I contacted Skip again and they said the driver delivered my order. I explained what we got and they said they wouldn't refund me because he delivered my order. They then said that I should have updated my phone number on file and my delivery instructions. Not sure what that has to do with having the wrong order left at my door. I do have VERY specific instructions to find our house. This guy found our house, he just didn't deliver the right order. I took pictures of what he did leave me and they then decided to refund me. $130 for a small pizza and pop? I'm sure the person that got my order was happy with the mistake.

Then a few days later, they charged my card a random amount of $6.94. I messaged them about it and they assure me they didn't. I have to wait for the charge to post and Capital One is going to reverse it.

What a nightmare. I will never use this service again.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service from chat team. Unable to understand my complaint. Didn't receive my order as advertised, tried to explain for over half an hour, ended with chat rep telling me I was wrong and then he proceeded to leave the chat. Very disappointing

Recently ordered a meal for office…

Recently ordered a meal for office meeting from skip the dishes. The order was not picked up at the scheduled time by skip the dishes. After investigation again requested the team to pick up the order but all in vain. Lastly I had to opt for Uber taxi to pick up the meal.
Fell into a really awkward situation in front of my seniors due to skip the dishes poor service.
